Flowchart

The following is a flowchart of a typical operational procedure at Nashvan.
  • Project Review: Upon receiving a project from a customer, Nashvan management team will review the project with the customer in order to understand the nature of the project as well as the basic requirements, such as, the source and target languages and delivery timeline.  The output of this preliminary assessment will be used to identify the resources needed, including team leader and members, for the quested project.
  • Team Setup:  A project team is assembled based on the information from Project Review.  The overall objectives of the project are fully communicated to both team members and project leader to ensure a common understanding among the team and alignment of goals & objectives.
  • In-Depth Analysis: Customers are consulted most extensively at this stage for more detailed information related to backgrounds, technical specifications, application-specific requirements, and targeted impact information.
  • Vocabulary List: The team will work together to build up a list of vocabularies to ensure that interpretations are most appropriate culturally and socially.  Also, it will be used across the team to warrant consistency in interpretations into the targeted languages.
  • Task Breakdowns: A job may get broken down into subprojects, depending on the size, complexity, and/or timeline of the project. Subprojects will be assigned to individuals or groups of team members whose activities will be coordinated by the project leader.
  • Project Execution: This is the core stage where a project is being worked on in full speed.  Throughout the process, the team members and team leader keep each other informed on the status via prompt communications.  In addition, the project leader stays in close contact with the customer with progress updates and any issues that require the customer's attention.
  • Cross Proofreading: As a milestone of a typical project, team members will exchange their work for cross proofreading before the final inspection.
  • Final Inspection: At this stage a native-speaking specialist, whose profession matches the project on hand, will be brought in for final polishing and inspection.
  • Delivery and Follow-up: The team leader will be responsible for making sure that the binding and packaging meets the customer requirements and the materials get shipped to the appropriate personnel specified by the customer. Moreover, he or she will continue following up with the customer for any potential revisions, corrective actions, and any relevant feedbacks and requests.
